Bonjour !! My name is Frédéric, and I teach private lessons in Mejiro and Shimo-Ochiai, Tokyo.

I teach in a relaxed atmosphere, so that you can make real progress while enjoying yourself. I look forward to welcoming everyone who would like to take up French!

From Bordeaux, in south-west France

After training in hotel management I worked for several years in hotels across France (the Basque Country, Versailles, Corsica, Cannes), then for four years at the London Hilton. I went on to qualify as a teacher of French and taught at International House London, where I also began learning Japanese. Since coming to Japan in 2000 I have continued to teach at a French school in Tokyo, and today I teach at universities among other places.

I love sport, especially triathlon. And brocante too, of course — vintage toys above all.

We follow the textbook's programme and work through it steadily, with conversation at the centre. I provide the textbook, but you are welcome to use your own.
